merry.christmas...ya'll.

Tommorrow is Christmas Eve. It's one of my most favorite parts. Mum's side--aka Benjamin Clan--goes to her parent's house. There will be lots of food, laughter, and teasing. And a beautiful big christmas tree. (i love christmas trees) At some point, Lori and the boys will call from VA and we'll put them on speakerphone. And all talk at once. Yet understand each other. Haha. We'll talk about Christ's birth and such, and one of the guys will pray a looooong but good prayer while we all try not to think of the food.
This year we have even more reason to be grateful: Grandma is alive and well enough to have us over, despite the ravages of chemotherapy. Thank God, I'M NOT SICK! So I can go, with the rest of my family. :) Many times I've prayed that she'd be well enough to see us. I'm so glad she has God to rely on. Indeed, I don't know how anybody can go through cancer and not utterly despair without Christ to rest in....off track. Meant to talk about Christmas. I love it. The tree, the lights, the smells, the giving of presents, and the snow. Yes, snow. Even though we don't have it here in FL, it's still cool. ((I had a white christmas in New York once))
Christmas is hope because it commemorates the birth of my Savior. What cause for rejoicing!! Christ, the Messiah, Immanuel-GOD with us!!! If Christ hadn't come to earth, He wouldn't have lived a sinless life. Fully human yet fully God. If He hadn't lived a sinless life, He wouldn't have taken my sins to the cross; or risen again. And if he hadn't died for my sins, I would not be here right now. The place I'd be wouldn't be a better one. But He did come. His crimson blood has removed the stain of my sin! Washing me clean, whiter than new-falling snow. What joy, what peace, what hope, and what a love this truth is.

Merry. Christmas. (white or no)

Andrew said...

But who plays bass?

joel sczebel said...

EEEEER. Not me. I can't believe they actually put the fish garberation on savethewheel.

Brittany said...

The what? And I am not sure who plays bass.

joel sczebel said...

Go to savethewheel.com and see for yourself.

Brittany said...

Tomorrow. Maybe. Save the wheel is a sore subject for me. j/k. Eventually I'll be able to go.

Delian said...

Hey... I used to play bass... but yeah, dams was learning... hahaha ;)

Brittany said...

Wasn't she learning something via e-mail?

Delian said...

yeah... she was trying to learn bass from my bro via e-mail... it was funny, I'm not sure if he still is. just a sec. He said 'somewhat' haha.

The 'J' said...

Yeah I'm trying to teach Damaris bass over email but its kinda hard and she never Replys so I don't know how its coming

J

Brittany said...

Hmm. That is an interesting way of learning an instrument.

Delian said...

hahaha... tell me about it! It's actually probably really fun ;)

Delian said...

MERRY CHRISTMAS... click.

So I'm offering this simple phrase,
For kids from one to 92,
Though it's been said many times, many ways,
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, to you.

Brittany said...

And to you, and you too.

TheDell said...

And to everyone around you

joel sczebel said...

This could never end unless you actually try to end it.

It doesn't feel like christmas to me. It's too warm here. And rainy.

joel sczebel said...

My family is calling me chip (like a chipmunk) because my cheeks are so swollen. I think that nasty surgeon broke my jaw. Hoser.

Brittany said...

HAHAHAH. At first I thought you were Mr. Chew.

Delian said...

hahaha... sorry, but it is funny. Hope you're not in any pain ;)

joel sczebel said...

Not particularly painful, but just annoying.

Brittany said...

And you had to have this surgery right before Christmas.

joel sczebel said...

Yes it really was splendid timing.

Brittany said...

I am sure it was intentionally planned.

Delian said...

I would cry... esp. if it was right before Christmas

Brittany said...

I would probably cry either way. Or not.

j.o.e. said...

hahaha.

Brittany said...

Whatever. I actually don't cry very easily at all. I would just be upset about it.

joel sczebel said...

hahahaha.

Delian said...

Unfortunatly I cry a lot... plus I'm terrible with pain... you have no idea! So yeah, I wouldn't do well at all!

Brittany said...

I am in pain a lot but I learn to bear it. hahah. Not really. Usually, just minor problems such as poisionous spider bites, fainting, falling off risers head first, running into walls, etc. And that is not even the half of it:-) I am serious!

Delian said...

What on earth? Are you some crazy person that takes a lot of dares or something? Or has God just blessed you wiht an amazing life of adventure??

Brittany said...

Hahahahah. No, I don't take a lot of dares. None for that matter. I guess I am blessed with a life of adventure. There have been plenty of other things but I can't think it all off the top of my head. Nose bleeds (tons!!!) sprained ankles, scraped up head (from a severe car accident), x-rays, cat scans and more x-rays and tons of cat scans.

damaris said...

i do too reply. jarred doesn't reply to replies. so i don't play bass. yet. i think i was understanding a little but it's kind of hard to figure it out when you don't actually have a bass...
maybe i'll learn someday if i ever have alot of money. grace church is in need of a bassist.

haha. like i could ever be good enough to play on a stage hahaha.

Brittany said...

Do you guys have anybody yet to be on the worship team?

Delian said...

I'll get on bro so he starts teachign you again... although he's just like 'She's just not practicing hard enough' haha, which might have an element of truth in it. ;)

I've never had a lot of things like that happen to me (car accidents, sprained ankles broken bones ect) I've never sprained an ankle or broken a bone or anything like that. I sprained my toe the other day and I almost felt like dying... or not that bad, but yeah, I'm not so good with pain. ;)

Josh Sczebel said...

i get so depressed when i go to comment and there are 6 million already there. mine just gets lost somewhere in cyberspace.

Delian said...

awww... but if it makes you feel better... that happens to all of us!

lauren said...

hi. i luv u. just thought i'd let ya know. = )

Brittany said...

Everybody's comments will be lost someday.

Delian said...

Alas and alack, but it must be so.

Brittany said...

Alack? Hmm, never heard that.

joel sczebel said...

neither have I.

Delian said...

Corning lingo... what can I say? We're full of new words that probably don't make any sense. I believe 'alack' came from my good friend PJ who in fact is in our livingroom right now ;).

Brittany said...

Another word to add to Damaris's new language.

Delian said...

hahaha... yeah go ahead!

joel sczebel said...

Tired....

Brittany said...

I slept reeeeeeeeeeeealy late today.

joel sczebel said...

As in slept in late? or started sleeping late?

Delian said...

hahaha, probably both. I went to bed actually pretty early last night (11:30), and I slept in until 10 (which is craziness for me)

All yall going to New Attitude are sooo lucky!!

Brittany said...

I slept in really late yesterday. But that was because my grandparents had my room, it is Christmas break and it was my birthday.

joel sczebel said...

No good excuse.

Delian said...

Ha! How about last night (or this morning... whatever!) We had some friends over and we put in Return of the King at 10:45 pm last night, then we watched all of it... um, well, the movie kept going, can't say we watched all of it. I think all of us were asleep at one time or another, however we didn't go to bed 'til 3:10 am... it was mad fun! But yeah, I slept in until 10. Though I did try to get up at 8 20... it didn't work. ;).

Brittany said...

I know exactly how you feel!
