when God uses everyday language.

wisdom from my best friend.

"Yes, He is faithful even when we are not. Or when we choose to throw tantrums instead of quietly trusting. He brings us to Himself, and then keeps us there by His own mighty hand. Such is His benevolence to us. So why are we tempted to turn and pout instead of pressing into Him when we face trouble? We can do nothing for ourselves. We are such tiresome creatures and yet He loves us so profoundly. " ~mum.

Thanks mum.
((i'm hoping i grow up to be half the wife, mother& friend you are.))

Ok. i figured out the Italicizing .

just put "(em)" (emphasis) before the word you want to italicize except don't use regular brackets, use the pointy arrow looking ones down at the bottom where the comma and period are. If you don't use those ones it won't work, which is why I had to use the wrong ones to show you how to get it to work without actually just making my whole paragraph italicized. Then after you type the word or words that you want italicized, put
(/em) at the end to stop italicizing. It won't work if you don't put the end tag so make sure you do.

then you can do other ones like bold which is (strong) then (/strong) to close it out. but use the right brackets. that's the most important part.

Oh, and speaking of thanks, I've been meaning for a while to thank all you guys for turning me into a DCB fan. !! I'd only heard a few of his (their) songs before, but seeing all the different lyrics you guys would post piqued my interest, and then my husband surprised me with Collision and I was absolutely hooked. Now our whole family's addicted - even my 2 & 3yo bounce along in the back of the van to "Forever, and ever, and ever, and ever..." He was the whole reason I wanted to go to Night of Joy, and you should have seen Bekah clapping with all her heart along to I Saw the Light! She said she felt bad on Sunday when you mentioned you wanted to see him. But you got to go see AA... :)

Anyway, truly, thanks guys. I'm assuming you've all seen the "O Praise Him" video? Oh man....

You really need a better template... how about something like, i don't know, really cool looking tropical waves or a nice fall scene!;)

Isn't a nice floridian fall scene one of palm trees getting torn out of the ground by hurricane force winds.

beth said...

that is so good........
thank you

Sherlock said...

Yes joel but, normally the hurricanes we get don't rip palm trees out of the ground, they typically make big messes with little twigs and branches.palm trees stand the winds cuz they bend

i was talking about
a real fall scene, like my moms blog.

haha.
NICE one joe.

palm trees do get ripped out occasionally...but mostly they just bend over halfway to the ground. other trees are the ones that get pulled up. and thrown through people's windows. that is why plywood is such a great invention.

i love how we take hurricanes so seriously around here...the most important thing to do when a hurricane is coming is stock up on chocolate...
life is good. God is good.
